2023 Lingua Franca Avni Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon

Lingua Franca’s 2023 Avni Pinot Noir is a regional expression of the Willamette Valley, assembled from fruit grown across roughly 20 sites, including Lingua Franca’s own vineyards and selected neighboring vineyards. The 2023 vintage produced a particularly successful Pinot Noir season, with ripe fruit balanced by fresh acidity. The wine was hand-harvested and sorted, fermented with native yeast in stainless-steel and cement tanks, and made with a small portion of whole-cluster fruit before aging in French oak.

The result is a medium-bodied Pinot Noir with vibrant cherry, raspberry and cranberry alongside rose, orange zest, black tea, subtle spice and earthy mineral notes. Fresh acidity and fine tannins give the wine energy and structure, while its round texture and long finish make it especially versatile at the table.
