About Happy Wine Calle Ocho

Happy Wine Calle Ocho started in Miami in 2004 with a pretty simple idea: sell good wine without the nonsense.

JC & Joanna founded Happy Wine right here on Calle Ocho. This is the original Happy Wine business we built in Miami, and Happy Wine Calle Ocho remains independently owned and operated by us today.

We are not affiliated with other businesses or locations using the Happy Wine name.

We like serious Burgundy. We like strange little bottles nobody has heard of. We like Champagne, Rioja, Barolo, grower wines, natural wines, inexpensive wines that drink like they cost twice as much, and expensive wines that are actually worth the money.

What we don't like is wine snobbery.

Happy Wine Calle Ocho is a wine shop, wine bar and restaurant and, most nights, a little bit of controlled chaos.

The wines are chosen by us. We taste them, argue about them, buy too much of some, not enough of others, and occasionally discover something so good that we wonder why everyone else isn't drinking it.

You can come in for a bottle to take home, sit down for tapas and wine, discover something you didn't know existed, or build a mixed case from hundreds of bottles in the shop.

We are still independent.
Still in Miami.
Still on Calle Ocho.
Still obsessed with finding wines we actually want to drink.

No algorithms pretending to have taste.

Just wine, food, music, people, and more than twenty years of doing this our way.
