Tamber Bey’s 2023 Deux Chevaux Vineyard Chardonnay comes from the winery’s 60-acre estate in Yountville, Napa Valley, a site named after the two Arabian horses that inspired the Tamber Bey name. The 2023 vintage marks the final release from the vineyard’s original Chardonnay blocks, planted in 1990, before production transitioned to younger vines. Made from multiple Chardonnay clones, the wine was barrel-fermented and aged for 14 months in French oak, with 25% new barrels, developing richness and complexity while preserving the character of its estate-grown fruit.

Ripe peach, Bosc pear, golden apple and apricot lead the palate, with tropical fruit, orange zest, vanilla and buttery nuances adding depth. Full-bodied and generous, it balances its creamy texture with enough freshness to keep the finish lively. A distinctive Yountville Chardonnay for roasted poultry, seafood, creamy pasta and aged cheeses.
