2017 Bodegas Los Astrales Ribera del Duero Spain
Crafted by Bodegas Los Astrales, a family-run winery in Anguix, Burgos, Astrales 2017 reflects generations of winemaking heritage in the heart of Ribera del Duero. The winery focuses on expressing the character of its vineyards through careful grape selection and minimal intervention.
Made from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), the grapes come from old vines averaging 45 years of age, rooted in clay-limestone soils scattered with river stones. Hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts, the wine spends 18 months aging in predominantly French oak barrels, developing depth and structure while preserving the character of its fruit.
An excellent choice for lovers of expressive Spanish reds, it pairs beautifully with roast lamb, grilled beef, and aged cheeses.
