2020 Villa Creek Cellars Cherry House Red Blend Paso Robles California

The 2020 Cherry House Red from Villa Creek Cellars captures the expressive, Rhône-inspired character of Paso Robles, California. Crafted from a blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Graciano, this wine reflects the winery’s focus on distinctive red blends with generous fruit, savory complexity and a sense of place. The grapes were fermented with native yeasts in concrete and stainless steel, then aged for 11 months in French oak, adding texture and depth while allowing the fruit to remain at the forefront.

The nose opens with Morello cherry, ripe raspberry, fig, blueberry and hints of dried peach, followed by subtle notes of licorice and aromatic herbs. On the palate, supple fruit and a silky texture are balanced by a firm, savory finish accented with sage and saffron. Versatile and food-friendly, this Paso Robles red pairs beautifully with grilled sausages, roasted lamb, barbecue, hearty pasta dishes and aged cheeses.
