2017 Betz Family Winery Pere de Famille Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, Washington
The 2017 Père de Famille from Betz Family Winery is a structured Columbia Valley red blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Petit Verdot and Merlot. Sourced largely from Red Mountain, this vintage showcases the depth and character of Washington State winemaking.
Aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, dark berries, violets, bay leaf and tobacco lead into a rich palate of cassis, baking spices and graphite-like minerality. Firm, polished tannins and a persistent finish give this wine both elegance and structure. A great match for grilled steak, lamb and aged cheeses.
