The 2023 ALH Cabernet Sauvignon is a fresh and vibrant expression of Coombsville, Napa Valley, created by Agustina L. Hobbs, daughter of renowned winemaker Paul Hobbs. ALH represents the next generation of the Hobbs winemaking family, combining meticulous vineyard care with a contemporary approach to Napa Cabernet. The wine is sourced exclusively from select blocks of the historic Nathan Coombs Estate, where cool marine air, morning fog and rocky volcanic soils contribute to the freshness and mineral character of Coombsville. The 2023 blend is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in French oak, with 29% new oak.

Elegant and layered, the wine shows ripe dark cherry, blackberry, black raspberry, violet and wild thyme, with savory herbs, dark cacao and graphite emerging as it opens. Fine-grained tannins and refreshing acidity give the wine balance and a long, graceful finish. It pairs beautifully with grilled steak, ribeye, roasted beef, lamb and hearty pasta dishes.
