Juan Pinero Great Duke 12 Years Old Palo Cortado is a distinctive Sherry from Sanlucar de Barrameda, made from 100% Palomino Fino from the Pago del Hornillo. This rare style begins with a period of biological aging under flor before being redirected toward oxidative aging, creating the characteristic combination of the elegance of an Amontillado and the richness and depth of an Oloroso. Aged through three criaderas for an average of 12 years, the wine develops layers of toasted almond, hazelnut, dried orange peel, caramel, dried fruit, spice, and subtle savory notes. Fresh acidity and a silky, full-bodied texture give it remarkable balance and a long, persistent finish.
