Merry Edwards’ 2021 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir reflects the cool coastal conditions of Sonoma County, where Pacific Ocean fog helps the grapes ripen slowly and develop expressive aromas. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the wine was aged for nine months in French oak, including 47% new barrels.
Floral aromas of dried rose petals mingle with sandalwood, black tea and savory spice. The palate reveals dark berries and plum, complemented by cocoa, bright acidity and silky tannins. Its refreshing, lingering finish makes it a versatile pairing for roasted poultry, duck, mushrooms and artisan cheeses.
