The 2022 Duckhorn Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot is a classic Napa Valley expression built around 85% Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc for added depth, structure and aromatic lift. Sourced from vineyards across Oak Knoll, Carneros, Calistoga, Yountville and St. Helena, the wine reflects the diversity of Napa Valley while maintaining Duckhorn's signature polished style.
Aromas of dark red berries and floral notes lead into flavors of blackberry, black cherry, plum, dark chocolate and baking spice. The palate is supple and polished, with silky tannins and lively acidity supported by 15 months of aging in French oak. Subtle notes of licorice, cedar and spice add depth, while the long, vibrant finish brings together the fruit and oak in a balanced, refined style.
