The 2022 Hess Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich and polished Napa Valley wine sourced from the historic Allomi Vineyard, located in the rolling hills of northeastern Napa Valley, east of Howell Mountain. Originally acquired by Donald Hess in 1995, the vineyard spans more than 200 acres and is divided into numerous growing blocks and Cabernet clones, bringing complexity and depth to the finished wine.

The warm, dry conditions of the 2022 vintage produced smaller berries with concentrated flavor, while cooler weather later in the season helped preserve balance. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Petit Verdot, the wine was aged for 18 months in American oak, 30% new. Aromas of currant, blackberry, and lavender lead to layers of black and red cherry, raspberry, espresso, cocoa powder, and subtle oak spice. Plush, integrated tannins give the wine a round, generous texture and a long, refined finish. Enjoy with grilled steak, roasted lamb, short ribs, or aged cheeses.
