2023 Far Niente Chardonnay, Napa Valley, California

Far Niente’s 2023 Chardonnay comes from the Napa Valley vineyards of one of California’s most historic wine estates. Founded in 1885 and revived in the 1970s, Far Niente has become known for its distinctive approach to Chardonnay, combining fruit from cooler sites in the southern Napa Valley with careful barrel aging to preserve both richness and freshness. The 2023 growing season provided a long, even ripening period, allowing the fruit to develop concentrated flavor while retaining natural acidity.

The wine opens with ripe pear, yellow apple, citrus and stone fruit, followed by layers of vanilla, baking spice and subtle creaminess from French oak. Bright acidity keeps the palate energetic beneath its generous texture, leading to a long, polished finish. A classic Napa Valley Chardonnay that shows why Far Niente has remained one of the region’s most recognizable producers.
