Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 13 months in French oak, 52% of it new, this powerful and layered wine delivers the bold character for which Mercury Head is known. Aromas of blackcurrant, Amarena cherry, California chaparral, and elegant oak lead into rich flavors of ripe blue fruit, blood orange, dark chocolate, and rhubarb. Fully integrated tannins give the wine a polished texture, while notes of blackberry preserves and licorice linger through the long, nuanced finish.
