2024 Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley, California, United States
Crafted by Cliff Lede Vineyards, this expressive white wine showcases the diversity of Napa Valley through a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The grapes come from estate vineyards in Calistoga, Stags Leap District, and Carneros, complemented by fruit from select grower vineyards in Rutherford. Older vines, including a heritage Musqué clone of Sauvignon Blanc, contribute distinctive aromatic depth and richness.
The 2024 blend combines 77% Sauvignon Blanc and 23% Sémillon. The grapes are hand-harvested at night, gently whole-cluster pressed, and fermented in a combination of French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. Aging on the lees, with occasional bâtonnage for selected lots, adds texture and complexity while preserving the wine's refreshing acidity.
Vibrant and beautifully textured, this Napa Valley white pairs wonderfully with grilled seafood, roasted chicken, fresh salads, and creamy cheeses.
